Welcome to MedStar Health Research Institute

MedStar Health Research Institute provides scientific, administrative and regulatory support for research programs that complement the key clinical services and teaching programs in the MedStar Health system.

As part of a multi-hospital academic medical system spanning the Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC region, MedStar Health Research Institute conducts translational, clinical, healthcare delivery and outcomes research in hospital and ambulatory settings that serve one of the most diverse patient populations in the United States.

Research Expertise

From bench to bedside to community, MedStar Health Research investigators are involved in pre-clinical investigation, investigator-initiated studies, early phase I/II clinical trials, large phase III multi-center trials and testing clinical application of new advances in clinical practice.
